Message from the Developer
My name is Air Katakana. I have been learning Japanese for about 15 years, having obtained N1 on the Japanese Language Proficiency test in 2014, and having achieved Level 2 on the Kanji Kentei in 2023.
I have spent a lot of time in the Japanese learning community, and have developed Sottaku in order to package the collective wisdom of all successful learners into an easy to use, robust, and integrated language learning system.
I hope that learners at all stages can find value in Sottaku.

What is Sottaku?
You can think of Sottaku as a language learning app, which puts together all of the best parts of other language learning tools into one package.
The main focus in our app is an implementation of spaced repetition software, which is heavily integrated into games and tests, to ensure continual vocabulary learning and measurement of progress.
You play with games and quizzes, you see what you got wrong, you learn it and review it, you get it right later. Learning is guaranteed.

All passwords are salted and hashed (that means that we can't see them, and they can never fall into the wrong hands) and we never see or store your financial data. Pro subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, at the click of a single button.
An AI-first company: We integrate the use of AI into all steps of the development process, in order to bring you an intelligent language-learning system that could not have been possible before. All work done by AI is also checked by loving, human hands before we ship it out to you.
