제1조(목적) 이 영은 「군인사법」 제53조에 따라 현역에 복무하는 군인의 급식에 관한 사항을 규정함을 목적으로 한다.

제2조(급식 및 급식기준액)

① 군인에게는 매일 주식과 부식(이하 "현물"이라 한다)을 지급한다. 다만, 육군ㆍ해군ㆍ공군 참모총장이 영외거주(營外居住)를 명한 군인에게는 현물에 갈음하여 일정한 금액(이하 "급식기준액"이라 한다)을 현금으로 지급할 수 있다.

② 급식기준액은 하루에 군인 1명에게 현물을 지급하기 위하여 필요한 비용에 기초하여 매년 세출예산으로 정한 금액으로 한다.

③ 제1항 단서에 따른 군인에게는 월별로 급식기준액에 현물을 지급받지 않은 일수를 곱하여 산정한 금액을 그 다음 달에 지급한다.

제3조(위임규정) 이 영 시행에 필요한 사항은 국방부장관의 승인을 받아 해당 군별로 육군ㆍ해군ㆍ공군 참모총장이 따로 정한다.

부칙 <제4903호,1970.4.10> 이 영은 공포한 날로부터 시행한다.

부칙 <제7027호,1974.1.4> 이 영은 공포한 날로부터 시행한다.

부칙 <제24105호,2012.9.19> 제1조(시행일) 이 영은 공포한 날부터 시행한다. 제2조(다른 법령의 개정) 병역법 시행령 일부를 다음과 같이 개정한다. 제158조제3항 중 "「군인ㆍ군속급식규정」"을 "「군인 급식 규정」"으로 한다.
