외국군인ㆍ군속에 대한 명예계급 수여 규정

제1조(목적) 이 영은 외국의 군인ㆍ군속에 대한 명예계급 수여에 관하여 규정함을 목적으로 한다.

제2조(명예계급 수여의 대상)

① 외국의 군인 또는 군속으로서 대한민국에 3년 이상 주재하여 뚜렷한 공훈이 있다고 인정되는 사람에게 명예계급을 수여할 수 있다.

② 제1항에 따른 명예계급은 대장 이상의 계급을 수여할 수 없으며, 군인에게 수여할 때에는 받는 사람의 본국에서의 계급과 같은 계급을, 군속에게 수여할 때에는 받는 사람이 본국에서 대우를 받는 계급에 상당하는 계급을 수여한다.

제3조(명예계급 수여의 효과)

① 명예계급 수여는 대한민국의 군무(軍務)에 종사할 권리를 부여하거나 의무를 지우는 것은 아니다.

② 명예계급을 받은 사람은 대한민국의 행사에 참석할 때에만 대한민국의 군복을 착용하고 계급장을 붙일 수 있다.

제4조(증서의 수여) 명예계급을 수여할 때에는 별지 서식의 명예계급 수여장을 준다.

제5조 삭제 <2013.12.17>
