제1조(목적) 이 규칙은 「생명공학육성법」 및 같은 법 시행령에서 위임된 사항과 그 시행에 필요한 사항을 규정함을 목적으로 한다.

제2조(생명공학정책전문기관의 지정요건) 과학기술정보통신부장관은 「생명공학육성법」 제24조제1항에 따라 다음 각 호의 요건을 모두 갖춘 기관 또는 단체를 생명공학정책전문기관으로 지정할 수 있다.

1. 해당 기관 또는 단체의 사업 내용에 생명공학 정책 지원에 관한 업무가 포함되어 있을 것

2. 「생명공학육성법 시행령」 제24조제1항 각 호의 업무를 수행할 수 있는 전담조직과 7명 이상의 전담인력을 보유하고 있을 것

3. 「생명공학육성법 시행령」 제24조제1항 각 호의 업무 수행에 필요한 전용 업무공간과 시설을 갖추고 있을 것

제3조(규제의 재검토) 과학기술정보통신부장관은 제2조에 따른 생명공학정책전문기관의 지정 요건에 대하여 2024년 1월 1일을 기준으로 3년마다(매 3년이 되는 해의 1월 1일 전까지를 말한다) 그 타당성을 검토하여 개선 등의 조치를 해야 한다.

부칙 <제131호,2024.8.14> 제1조(시행일) 이 규칙은 2024년 8월 14일부터 시행한다.
